For New York Design Week 2014, Herman Miller transformed the Standard Hotel’s ballroom into a temporary showcase to launch the Herman Miller Collection, presenting new furniture designs alongside classics by Charles and Ray Eames. Inspired by the Eameses’ eclectic lives and collecting habits, the curated environment juxtaposed historical folk objects with contemporary, geometric and industrially made pieces. The result was an immersive branded space that felt cohesive, aspirational, and reflective of the brand’s design legacy.
